A Worldwide Trend
Farmers & Growers had better take notice
Buyers of fruits and vegetables are now actually going into their growers fields to test the Brix, (a method of determining the sugar and nutrient content of produce), before they purchase the crops. Today’s informed customers are now demanding better tasting and higher quality, (nutrient rich) produce. Being able to claim a product is “Organic Certified” is no longer adequate to charge twice the price. Organically Certified produce can be grown on mineral deficient soils and, thus, be nutrient poor.
Nutrient poor crops have been the norm in the past as chemical fertilizers simply CANNOT supply the nutrient values required in order to produce high quality (nutrient rich) foods. No longer will “pretty looking” produce that has little flavor or nutrient value be acceptable.
MicroSoil®, for (15) fifteen years, has been tapping into nature’s naturally occurring energy sources and the soil’s biological processes and rhythms, which have been prevalent all over the world since the beginning of time.
Here is where MicroSoil®, The MicroSoil® Nutrient Packages, and what Dr. Said lays out in his article “Dynamics of an Authentic Natural Soil System” comes into play, which he has been advocating for 40 years.
One cause of our problems today
In pre-Columbian North America, food production ranged from simple hunting-gathering to sophisticated agricultural techniques. One practice in the American southwest was the planting of the three sisters; beans, squash, and corn. When planted together, the needs of all three crops were effectively balanced. Native American agriculture had a rich diversity of crops such as corn, tobacco and potatoes, which were introduced to Europe.
With the industrial revolution came changes in the way people farmed. In 1837, John Deere, an American inventor, began selling steel plows that enabled farmers to till hard prairie soil. This led to greater mechanization and put millions of hectares of new farmland into production. At the beginning of the twentieth century, scientists made incredible progress in discovering and understanding the functions and the relationships of the soil's ecosystem. After World War II, however, the agricultural and horticulture world determined that crop productions could surpass nature with the use of nitrates from the production of bullets and bombs. The farmer realized greater yields and thus higher profits by eliminating crop rotations, which would allow the soil to replace, lost nutrients and rebuild itself after crop removal. With this, however, came the realization that they needed to compliment these synthetic nutrients with deadly biocides designed to ward off any of nature's objections to their agenda. Eventually, this became yet another war to fight.
Ecological disaster zones such as increased erosion, destruction of humus, water pollution, the destruction of ecosystems, greenhouse warming, use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, irrigation, seed stock and ozone depletion are staring back at us, forcing us to evaluate our current practices and methods of farming.
For Totally Controlled Growing Envrionments
What is MicroSoil®’s Universal Life Enriching Fertilization Program?
It is an all-inclusive alternative to artificial chemical fertilizers that provides for the establishment of nutrient inputs, which provide all of the naturally occurring nutrients required for optimum plant growth and the enrichment of crop yields, while, at the same time, balancing soil energy, which is the foundation for soil health and a productive and profitable agricultural ecology.
For Implementation of the MicroSoil® Authentic Naturally Occurring Nutrient Farming Program for Restoration of the Authentic Farming Environment.
First, we acknowledge and concede that most grower’s use relatively sophisticated farming methods and practices currently being used are getting the maximum production possible from a chemical fertilizer’s program, even though yields, quality and net returns are declining and production input costs are ever-increasing. Our intention is not to question anything a grower is currently doing, however, we do believe we will be able to bring a slightly different perspective to enhanced crop quality (taste and extended shelf life) and very positive soil benefits in terms of mineral and biological enrichment and increased soil health over the long term.
IMPORTANT: We do not want growers to change their current farming methods of watering practices, except to reduce and/or replace the chemical fertilizers, as per our protocols, with our MicroSoil® Authentic Natural Occurring Nutrient Packages, which will enhance crop Brix (plant energy), protein, taste & flavors, nutrient uptake, crop yields, and bee population, while, at the same time, reducing your fertilization costs. Please note: We routinely recommend smaller amounts of chemical fertilizers to be used in conjunction with our natural materials, in order to maintain adequate microbial density and to enhance nutrient availability and soil ecological balance.
We will simply be establishing a production process, which will satisfy all of the plant’s nutrient requirements (macro and micro), except they will be natural occurring materials, e.g., natural nitrogen from amino acids, which are compatible with natural soil processes, rather from harsh chemicals that kill much of the micro fauna in the soils. All of our products are non-toxic, non-chemical, non-hazardous and all are 100% safe for use with all living things, both flora and fauna.
The above should give you a short overview of our concepts and proposal to come.
However, in order to initiate such a project, we will need a detailed chart of your daily/weekly watering program along with a detailed list of fertilizer inputs (specific types and amounts) used on a daily/weekly basis, and a description of your pesticide program. If different fertilizers and amounts are used from one week to another, then we would need to know this also, as certain fertilizers can actually inhibit beneficial, naturally occurring soil microorganisms that help plants use water and nutrients, while suppressing diseases. Microorganisms are capable of forming substances that are very difficult or impossible to create using purely chemical methods.
Dynamics of an Authentic Natural Soil System
A scientifically sound explanation of why MicroSoil® and our MicroSoil® natural occurring nutrient packages
By Dr. Layan Dawad Said, PhD
What follows is a synopsis of information that might help others to better understanding our position concerning Authentic Agriculture.
I guess we can say that our approach, which is beyond organics, is simply an effort to apply our protocols to the principles of natural systems, which will shift the microbiological equilibrium in favor of increased plant growth, production, quality and protection.
Our authentic system is one whereby the production site is viewed as a complete organism, developed from a process based on technical-biological progress. Our production system avoids just trying to maximize the yield per cultivation area. Total productivity of the system (including ecological aspects), optimally adapted to the site conditions, is the most important aspect. We satisfy the sum of all soil organisms, thereby providing the optimum requirements for a sufficient and continuous supply of balanced nutrients. The continuous supply of nutrients stabilizes the soil's ecosystem and assists the photosynthetic capacity of plants allowing them to use more of the light spectrum.
In so doing, we develop a synergistic ecosystem, i.e., one that is consciously designed to allow all the dynamic life forms present in a virgin soil to remain present while still growing crops (on whatever scale). A non-traumatized soil presents a subtle balance of millions of diverse specific organisms. The presence of all these invisible subtle lives allows complex interactions, thus, the synergistic effect.
Utilizing our protocols increases the production capacity of any piece of land far beyond it's "chemical-based" levels, eventually approaching the highest yield theoretically possible, given the amount of energy reaching a field from the sun.
As we know, changing to authentic agricultural practices cannot be initiated suddenly as the soil must first be rehabilitate itself, in the same way that the conventional farmer's mind must first be rehabilitated to accept the authentic protocols, then, and only then, can soil fertility be maintained and crops properly nourished to the highest quality.
“The Problem and Concern”
A CLASSIC EXAMPLE OF THE NATURAL LAW OF CAUSE AND EFFECT WHICH AFFECTS THE HEALTH EVERY LIVING THING ON THIS EARTH
The trace mineral and element content in our foods varies tremendously from location to location, farm to farm and from those grown in the past compared to today.
About sixty years ago, a Rutgers University professor studied the mineral content of certain vegetables and found a tremendous range of difference from one sample to another.
Some tomatoes had 2,000 times more iron in them than others. The difference was the soil where these tomatoes were grown. Vegetables absorb the numerous available elements and trace minerals, which are present in healthy growing mediums. When grown in conditions where soils have high organic matter with a balanced macronutrient and micronutrient content, crop Brix and nutrient values are much higher and healthier. However, plants themselves really do not need all of the elements to grow, they still may look good but they can be very deficient in nutritional value.
All living things, man, animals, and plants require over 90 trace minerals and elements to be present in order to maintain a healthy life. Yet, most of these vital minerals and elements are completely missing in the fruits and vegetables we consume every day.
In 1963, when the US Department of Agriculture studied the element "iron" to see how much of it was in various fruits and vegetables grown in different locations, the figures showed the average amount of iron in various vegetables had dropped by 80% in the short time from 1948 when the Rutgers study was done.
Nutrient poor soils result in diseased and unhealthy plant and human cells.
Any soil used to grow any crop for more than about five to ten years has lost many important trace minerals originally in the soil. It is 100% impossible for synthetic chemical fertilizers to replaced trace minerals and elements routinely utilized by the plants generating crops.
Why use fertilizers? Farm managers discovered that plants will and do grow without having to be concerned with all the micronutrients and trace elements, and just by using chemical fertilizers which generally consist of just (NPK) Calcium, Magnesium, and Sulphur, they still can grow large and profitable crops, however their nutrient values are very low and are totally inadequate to maintain proper soil health, let alone be healthy for human and animal consumption.
Chemists originally believed that the plant did not need all of the trace materials and elements, and that they were just a waste of time, money, and effort to reincorporate them back into the soils to replace those taken out by the earlier crops. Today, we know better, as researchers are now realizing that they all are critical and many even claim that every disease can be traced directly back to the deficiency of a specific trace mineral and/or element.
The very best foods you are able to buy today, which may be grown under the "finest" organic conditions, simply do not have most of the vital trace minerals and elements that were so prevalent just 100 years ago. Many of today’s organically grown fruits and vegetables are mineral deficient. “Organic Certified” does not mean or guarantee a mineral enriched food; therefore, people must supplement their diets with a comprehensive and quality nutrient mineral product such as PureFulvic™ Trace minerals & Elements.
Please always remember, that that most fresh tomatoes or any other fruit or vegetable being sold in our grocery stores, is primarily fed a consistent diet of commercial synthetic chemical fertilizers, which consist of about five or six nutrients. This is the bare minimum needed to just to grow the trees and plants, but not the 90 or so necessary to properly nourish human, animal and plant cells! However, MicroSoil®’s Nutrient Packages are all-inclusive alternatives to these artificial chemical fertilizers, that provide all of the naturally occurring nutrients required for optimum plant growth and the enrichment of all food crops while, at the same time, balancing soil energy, which is the foundation for soil health and a productive and profitable agricultural ecology.

NATURES PREREQUISITE FOR HEALTH OF ALL LIVING THINGS
"The building blocks of life for the soils, plants,
humans and our animal friends"
The popular scientific definition of humus is, "A more or less biologically stable, dark, amorphous material formed by the microbial decomposition of plant and animal residues." The formation of humus begins when the residues from plants and animals comes in contact with microbial life in the soil. Much of the carbon compounds contained in those residues are proteins, carbohydrates and energy for the various bacteria, fungi and actinomycetes involved in the decay process.
Aerobic microorganisms are the most adept at decomposing organic matter. They need an environment where there is an adequate amount of free oxygen to live and to be active. The degree to which free oxygen exists in soil plays a major role in regulating the favorable or unfavorable conditions under which humus is formed. The same is true for the amount of moisture, for the soil temperature and for the carbon to nitrogen ratio of the residues being decomposed.
As the temperature of a soil increases there is a corresponding increase in microbial activity. Soils that exist in warmer regions of the earth tend to have lower average levels of humus than soils in colder areas.
In the soil organic matter is assimilated by microorganisms utilizing the nutrients and energy for their own metabolism. Their activities convert much of the organically bound nutrients back into a mineral form which is usable by plants and other microorganisms. The indigestible portion of the residues accumulate as humus. However, humus is not completely immune to decomposition. Microorganisms will eventually recycle all the elements in humus back to where they initially came from, even if it takes a millennium to do it.
From the CCOF website, http://www.ccof.org/about.php:
CCOF was founded in 1973 as a mutual assistance and certification organization for organic farmers and was one the first organizations to perform organic certification in North America. Since then, the CCOF seal has been your assurance of certification with integrity. Today, CCOF maintains one of the most consumer recognized and trusted seals in the organic marketplace. CCOF remains one of the oldest and largest organic certification and trade associations in North America, with more than 2,000 certified members throughout the farm and processing community and more than 350 supporting members.

Organic matter is a barometer of soil health. The population of organisms that is supported by soil organic matter is of immeasurable benefit to plants. More Organic matter means more decomposers that recycle nutrients from plant and animal residues faster; more nitrogen fixing and mineralizing bacteria; more beneficial organisms that help dissolve mineral, translocate water from soil depths and help control pathogenic fungi; and more humus that increases the water and nutrient holding capacity of the soil. Humus acts like a sponge in the soil which expands and contracts as its moisture level changes. This activity within the soil increases porosity, which improves the movement of air and water. As all these organisms travel through their own life cycles, they create even more organic matter.
Organic matter is so important because it increases the life span of any given soil by inhibiting weathering forces such as wind and water from destroying it beyond its most productive stage.
MicroSoil® works best when the soil’s organic matter is a minimum of about 2% (1% is required by the plant and the other 1% is required by the microorganisms). The reason for this is that the nitrogen serves the microorganisms as much as, if not more than it serves the plants. Therefore, if there is only enough nitrogen (i.e. 1%) in the soil for either the plant or the bacteria, the bacteria will get it.
